The idea of Brava Bistro is a simple one. It is a place where people find happiness through the communion of food, wine, environment and kindness. It is a place where people gather to eat, drink and feel fellowship with others. We believe that people like being part of something authentic, a familiar place where each visit is a tacit acceptance into another family. This is a very large table and everyone is always welcome. Our primary advantage is our culture. Genuine culture cannot be improvised or franchised; it must be organic, independent and cultivated from a clear set of core values. Kindness is the bedrock of our values so the essential ingredient is, of course, our staff. We have a considerate work culture where everybody knows they matter. We hire only thoughtful, resourceful people with fanatical attention to detail. Enthusiasm is more important than experience.
Our menu is modern bistro and directed by Chef Andrea Harling . Dishes that are simultaneously rustic and urbane. A synthesis of the progressive kitchens in San Francisco and the slow roasting and grilling techniques of the Mediterranean. We create delicious food using quality ingredients sourced locally from devoted farmers. We believe that cooking is kindness, and kindness can uplift the self worth of others. This is what we do at Brava Bistro. A restaurant is performance art that takes people out of their normal routine. A daily endeavour to keep the world’s woes at bay with a cup of espresso and warm brioche. We’ve learned that it is those simple pleasures that make us content and that’s when happiness sneaks up on us. Simple doesn’t mean easy. Simple means effort. But it’s worth it.
